The idea for Reshroomed was born from my desire to create something that made a positive impact while also helping to pay my bills. Being as sustainable as possible and giving back have always been at the core of how I want my business to operate.
Now, I am not a psychonaut. I have yet to go on a ‘trip’ or a ‘journey’ (one day!) for therapeutic reasons or otherwise. But we, as a society, are in a state of crisis in regards to our mental health and the modalities we currently use to alleviate suffering are proving to be unsuccessful in a lot of ways. Nature has the power to heal us and it’s time we start listening to what it’s trying to say.
(That is a very flowery way to say that I believe in psychedelic assisted therapy and giving back. 10% of every sale will go towards helping these three causes make healing through plant medicine a reality for more people. )
Charities I support
Johns Hopkins Center for Psychedelic & Consciousness Research At the Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research, researchers will focus on how psychedelics affect behavior, mood, cognition, brain function, and biological markers of health. Upcoming studies will determine the effectiveness of psilocybin as a new therapy for opioid addiction, Alzheimer’s disease, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), post-treatment Lyme disease syndrome (formerly known as chronic Lyme disease), anorexia nervosa and alcohol use in people with major depression. The researchers hope to create precision medicine treatments tailored to the specific needs of individual patients.
MAPS Founded in 1986, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit research and educational organization that develops medical, legal, and cultural contexts for people to benefit from the careful uses of psychedelics and marijuana.
IPCI Indigenous Peyote Conservation Initiative which empowers Indigenous communities to reconnect with, regenerate, and conserve their sacred Peyote medicine.
